Resumo: With the main goal to contribute for the discussions about the subject, there are present in this article some results of one research about practices of literary literacy of a teacher in the 1st year of a primary school. The qualitative studies were based through a specialized bibliography about of Historical-Cultural Theory (Vygotsky; Mello), and which considers language as discursive (Vygotsky; Bakhtin; Smolka; Mortatti). The field research had observations of pedagogical practices (planning time and classes) with analysis of the narratives registered in a field’s diary (Clandinin; Connely; Geraldi). Thus, were found two practices permanent with literary texts: reading delight and reading aloud. However, these two practices had as main objective to teach the alphabetical writing system, disregarding the discursive aspect of language.

Thus, were found two practices permanent with literary texts: reading delight and reading aloud. However, these two practices had as main objective to teach the alphabetical writing system, disregarding the discursive aspect of language.
