Resumo: This research occurred during the reorganization of schools in the Remote Emergency Teaching period through the documental and bibliographical analysis with the study, registration and conceptual elaboration of the investigated themes of video lessons from the Emotionary project. This project is developed by the Education Secretariat of Goiás in partnership with SEBRAE/GO to develop the socioemotional abilities of elementary school students. In order to discuss what is expected from students regarding the Emotionary, the analysis transpired through a form, which contained the items of identification and content of seventeen videos produced by students. The discussion about the children and teenagers’ development was based on Wallon’s psychogenetic theory and other studies based on sociohistorical psychology. The results indicate the program has an educational view related to marketing and capitalistic values and it aims to make students docile according to the capitalistic production model. Besides that, it is expected that students work as machines do, which meansbeing passive and rejecting experiences that are an essential part of human life. Therefore, the project makes it difficult for education to be transformative once it focuses on individualist processes.
