Global warming and the consequences of anthropogenic greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have contributed to the phenomenon of climate change. It has become a contemporary and globalized environmental concern, implying not "rethinking the modus operandi and modus vivendi", which are emphasizing a preservation of natural resources and changes in consumption habits, for both, as one of the main axes. In 2015, UNFCCC signatory countries adopted the Paris Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from 2020 to the end of the century with the aim of reducing global warming by 2 degrees Celsius. As a primary action to meet targets consists of preparing inventory of emissions, followed as actions of reduction, compensation or neutralization. In Brazil, a standardized methodology for the inventory of events is not established and some emission compensations do not meet international criteria. In this dissertation, adopting a Case Study strategy, we sought to discuss the GHG inventory of the "20 Anos Ivete Sangalo" (IS20) DVD, held in Salvador, Bahia, in December, 2013. Thus, the Guidelines for the specifications of the Brazilian GHG Program (PBGHGP) and its calculation tool for corporate emissions inventory, are tested and analyzed in this inventory. It was observed that as adjustments to the specifications of the PBGHGP, it was possible to prepare an inventory of events emissions and consequent compensation or neutralization of emissions, through carbon credits certified in the voluntary market. Also, a feasibility of the methodology was perceived, being a possible alternative to the standardization of inventories with credibility and international recognition, for events in Brazil.
