Resumo: This paper aims to present the opinion survey conducted in the period from October 2005 to September 2010, at the Military Museum of the Southern Military Command (MMCMS) Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The data obtained in the survey offered the museum staff, through the information analyzed, subsidies that have contributed and still contribute to a better understanding of the visitation practices. The data also revealed important information that help in the management, control of collections and encourage the development of strategic actions for the expansion and diversification of the visitors in MMCMS.

Os dados obtidos na pesquisa ofereceram à equipe do museu, através das informações analisadas, subsídios que contribuíram e ainda contribuem para um melhor entendimento das práticas de visitação.
