Professor’s mathematics socialization: a contribution to teacher identity

Resumo: The professional identity constituted by the individual is not reduced to the act of working; Reveals itself from the socialization’s processes. Based on Dubar, Berger and Luckmann, Carlos Marcelo,and others, the professors’ discourses in Mathematics are analyzed, aiming to understand the socialization’s aspects that engender the identity of these professors. It is verified that the mathematical rigor, the demonstrations, the exercises’ lists, and the traditional approach of teaching, are categories present in the professors’ socialization processes. Besides that, it is inferred that the socialization’s processes structure the teaching identity.

Com base em Dubar, Berger e Luckmann, Carlos Marcelo, entre outros, analisam-se os discursos de professores do Curso de Licenciatura em Matemática, com o objetivo de compreender aspectos da socialização que engendram a identidade desses docentes.
