Resumo: The aim of this article is to propose a reading of Hegel’s idea of recognition as a theory of justice. I will make this analysis from the dialogue between Nancy Fraser and Alex Honneth, in order to build a materialist interpretation of Hegel’s dialectics that is not grounded just in the idea of recognition, as Honneth suggests, but also incorporating Fraser’s critique as a way to base redistribution as part of a contemporary theory of justice.
