Bioethnic violence and artisanal fishermen from Guanabara Bay and the Brazilian Navy

Resumo: The article portrays issues related to violence involving artisanal fishermen and the Brazilian Navy in Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro. The manuscript examines how this violence changes the daily lives of these workers, since the scenario in which the violence occurs is characterized by the occupation of the marine space by the federal power. As for the methodological approach of the research, it was decided by the ethnographic methodology of qualitative nature with the participation of 20 fishermen. Data collection tools were participant observation and ethnographic interview. The results of this research point to several cases of artisanal fishermen victimized by firearms by the navy military, due to the invasion of the marine space delimited by the military barracks safety standards.

O manuscrito examina como essa violência altera o cotidiano desses trabalhadores, pois o cenário em que acontecem as violências é caracterizado pela ocupação do espaço marinho pelo poder federal. Quanto ao enfoque metodológico da pesquisa decidiu-se pela metodologia etnográfica de cunho qualitativo com a participação de 20 pescadores. As ferramentas de coleta de dados foram a observação participante e a entrevista etnográfica.
