Identification of the Set of Information Necessary for Decision Making in the Management of Health Service Providers

Objective: To identify the set of information that supports the management decision-making process in an organization of the type that provides health services specialized in rehabilitation.Material and Methods: The in-depth case study method was used through interviews, non-participant observation and document analysis for data collection. The evaluation of final results was carried out through a questionnaire.Results: Based on the categories of analysis: capacity and demand management, schedule management, customer management, materials management, cost management, relationship with the higher education institution and information systems, it was possible to map the information used and necessary for the decision-making process of the study environment. This resulted in the grouping of information in seven Information Packages: customers, agendas, materials, physical and financial structure, people and assistance.Conclusion: The study identified the minimum set of information needed to support the management decision-making process of a physiotherapy clinic.
