Resumo: | Objective: To understand the behavior of consumers of medicines and pharmaceutical services at the time of Covid-19 pandemic.Material and Methods: A quantitative survey was carried out through a questionnaire developed in Google Forms and electronically disseminated. Sociodemographic data and information on the purchase of medicines and use of pharmaceutical services in community pharmacies were collected. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 365 and SPSS v. 22.Results: A total of 250 responses were obtained, mainly from individuals from the state of Paraná and with a high level of education and income. There was no major reduction in the purchase of medicines during the pandemic and certain drugs (e.g. painkillers, cold medicines) were purchased in larger amounts during this period. There was an increase in the purchase of hand sanitizers, masks, and vitamins, in addition to an increase in online purchase of medicines. A more categorical role of the pharmacist in medication counseling is needed, especially concerning medicines potentially intended for Covid-19 treatment. Conclusion: In the current scenario of infodemia and misinformation, this research reveals the importance of more actions by the pharmacist, especially regarding health education, in addition to the potential to explore the virtual interaction between patient and pharmacist. |

Universidade LaSalle - Unilasalle CanoasBorba, Helena Hiemisch LoboCarvalho, Denise Maria Woranovicz2021-11-08info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/view/768910.18316/sdh.v9i3.7689Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano; v. 9, n. 3 (2021); p. 1-12Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano; v. 9, n. 3 (2021); p. 1-122317-8582reponame:Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humanoinstname:Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)instacron:UNILASALLEporhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/view/7689/pdfhttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/downloadSuppFile/7689/1772https://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/article/downloadSuppFile/7689/1773Direitos autorais 2021 Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humanoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2022-03-14T12:44:40Zoai:ojs.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br:article/7689Revistahttp://www.revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimentohttps://revistas.unilasalle.edu.br/index.php/saude_desenvolvimento/oaisdh@unilasalle.edu.br2317-85822317-8582opendoar:2022-03-14T12:44:40Saúde e Desenvolvimento Humano - Universidade La Salle (UNILASALLE)false |
