Leading Causes of Absenteeism in Military Police Organizations Belonging to the FSR-APM in 2013 and 2014

Resumo: | Introduction: Absenteeism means a person who is absent from work and these situations exacerbate the problem of lack of effective personnel in the Brigada Militar (BM), consequently, the quality of the essential public safety service provided to society is reduced. Objective: To describe the main causes of absenteeism and attestation of origin (AO) categorized by International Code of Diseases(CID) in the Military Police Organization(OPM) attended at the: Regimental Sanitary Training (FSR) Military Police Academy(APM) in the years of 2013 and 2014. Methodology: Retrospective quantitative exploratory survey with data collection in the worksheets related to medical consultations of the BM. Results: were found among the four main causes of absenteeism in 2013 and 2014: traumas, pregnancy and puerperium, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and mental illness, and only alternation occurs in the order of frequency between one year and another. The 4th Mounted Police Regiment (RPMon), APM and Special Operations Battalion BOE were the units that generated the most absolute AO. Most of the activities in service that generated AO did no originate from the activity of Ostensive Policing.Conclusion: After analyzing the results, we can say that there. are preventive measures to be implemented in order to reduce absenteeism in BM. |

Metodologia: Pesquisa quantitativa exploratória retrospectiva com coleta de dados nas planilhas relativas aos atendimentos médicos dos da BM. Resultados: Foram encontradas dentre as quatro principais causas de absenteísmo em 2013 e 2014:traumatimos, gravidez e puerpério, doenças do sistema osteomuscular e doenças mentais, e apenas ocorre alternância na ordem de frequência entre um ano e outro. O 4º Regimento Polícia Montada (RPMon), APM e Batalhão de Operações Especiais (BOE) foram as unidades que mais geraram (AO) de forma absoluta.
