Resumo: | Among the possibilities that Education allows to investigate, this paper aims to discuss the aspects related to Distant Education. It focuses on the dialogue between the concepts of Pierre Levy’s collective intelligence and Edgar Morin’s complexity. It is about the intectivity in virtual class dynamics and the multiforms of learning comprehended in the ciberspace which may contribute to English Language learning through Distant Education model. Those concepts has deepened approaches about this different way of learning and teaching a language via web. This paper is a part of some reflections emerged from a research in devepment at mastering post-graduation course in Education at Universidade Nove de Julho. Centra-se no diálogo entre os conceitos da inteligência coletiva de Pierre Lévy e da complexidade de Edgar Morin. Discute a interatividade na dinâmica das aulas virtuais e as multiformas de aprendizado contidas no ciberespaço, que podem contribuir para o ensino da Língua Inglesa na modalidade EAD. Os conceitos abordados aprofundam aspectos sobre esse modo diferente de aprender e de ensinar um idioma via web. O artigo é um recorte das reflexões presentes em uma pesquisa em desenvolvimento no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Nove de Julho.
