Point and challenges of distance education in teacher training

Resumo: | In this article we propose a brief discussion on the training of teachers, specifically in the form of distance education. We present in this text, an experience of distance education students of Pedagogy at the Federal University of Santa Maria, the state of Rio Grande do Sul. First characterized the cities and centers participating students for this research, then, discuss the evaluation that the students make their relationship with the tutor presence, with the tutor at a distance, with the teacher and the discipline of the teaching-learning process. It is a qualitative and quantitative approach to research that has as a tool for data collection a questionnaire to students. With this research do not exhaust the discussion on teacher training in distance but reaffirm that distance education is a constant challenge for both educators and for students. |

Neste artigo nos propomos a uma breve discussão sobre a formação de professores, mais especificamente na modalidade de educação a distância. Apresentamos, neste texto, uma experiência de educação a distância do curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Primeiramente, caracterizamos as cidades pólos e os alunos participantes desta pesquisa para, posteriormente, discutir a avaliação que os alunos fazem de sua relação com o tutor presencial, com o tutor à distância, com a professora da disciplina, e do seu processo de ensino-aprendizagem. Nossa pesquisa parte de uma abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa que teve como instrumento de coleta de dados um questionário dirigido aos alunos. Com essa pesquisa não esgotamos a discussão sobre a formação de professores a distância, mas reafirmamos que a educação a distância é um constante desafio tanto para educadores quanto para educandos.
