Developing prospective Mathematics teachers’ didactical knowledge in a Lesson Study With Educational Robotics

Resumo: This research involved sixteen students from a Mathematics Education graduation course at a Brazilian federal university in a supervised internship discipline, aiming on understanding the contributions of classroom study and educational robotics in the training of future mathematics teachers. Using a qualitative approach, the data was collected through participant observation, note taking, documentary analysis, questionnaires, interviewing, audio recording of the plannings and reflection sessions. Results show that the participants could develop their didactic knowledge in terms of mathematical knowledge of teaching, elaboration and conduct of investigative tasks with the robots, conduct of exploratory lessons and develop of the knowledge about students’ mathematical thinking.

En un enfoque cualitativo, se recopilaron datos a través de la observación participante, notas de campo, análisis documental, cuestionarios, entrevistas y grabación en audio de las sesiones de planificación y reflexión. Los resultados muestran que los participantes desarrollaron su conocimiento didáctico en relación con la enseñanza de matemáticas, la elaboración y conducción de tareas de investigación con los robots, la conducción de clases exploratorias y la comprensión del pensamiento matemático de los alumnos.Essa investigação envolveu dezesseis alunos de um curso de Licenciatura em Matemática, de uma universidade federal brasileira, em uma disciplina de estágio supervisionado, cujo objetivo foi compreender as contribuições do estudo de aula e da robótica educacional na formação de futuros professores de Matemática. Em uma abordagem qualitativa, os dados foram recolhidos por meio da observação participante, notas de campo, análise documental, questionários, entrevistas e gravação em áudio das sessões de planejamento e reflexão.
