Resumo: This article aims to describe the practice of capturing the uçá crab performed through the hook, a handmade tool, used in the municipality of Marapanim/PA; and to verify the socio-environmental perspectives of the extractives about this activity. The study has a socio-anthropological approach, carried out through semi-structured interviews and informal conversations, with a field conducted in 2021, in collaboration with specialists in the capture of mollusks and crustaceans in the Marapanian mangroves. The central argument is focused on the perspective of an extractivist about the way of capturing the crab-uçá. As a result, we highlight two traditional techniques of capture, the hook technique and the technique  of capture in the arm, subsistence practices that contribute to conservation, renewal of fish stocks and marketing.

El estudio tiene un enfoque socio-antropológico, realizado a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas y conversaciones informales, con un campo realizado en 2021, en colaboración con especialistas en la captura de moluscos y crustáceos en los manglares de Marapanian. El argumento central se centra en la perspectiva de un extractivista sobre la forma de capturar el cangrejo-uçá. Como resultado, destacamos dos técnicas tradicionales de captura, la técnica del anzuelo y la técnica  de captura en el brazo, prácticas de subsistencia que contribuyen a la conservación, renovación de las poblaciones de peces y comercialización.O presente artigo visa descrever a prática de captura do caranguejo-uçá realizada através do gancho, uma ferramenta artesanal, utilizada no município de Marapanim/PA; e verificar as perspectivas socioambientais dos extrativistas acerca dessa atividade. O estudo possui abordagem socioantropológica, realizada através de entrevistas semiestruturadas e conversas informais, com campo realizado em 2021, em colaboração com especialistas na captura de moluscos e crustáceos nos manguezais marapanienses. O argumento central está voltado na perspectiva de um extrativista acerca da forma de captura do caranguejo-uçá.
