CENTRALITY REGIONAL AND NEW ARRANGEMENTS REGIONAL AUTHORITIES IN THE CITY

Resumo: The dynamics of urban spaces are expressed by different centrality levels and, therefore,go beyond the intra-urban scale redefining regional networks. From this premise, in thispaper we propose an analysis of the relationship between urban organization andexpression of centrality of the city of Montes Claros. The study reveals that there is areinforcement in concentration of collective consumption means in Montes Claros, afact that reaffirms its position as a regional hub. As part of this process, the intra-urbanterritory is modified and, thus, modifies the logic of reproduction of the city. Given theabove, it can be seen an emergence of social and functional specialization of spaces,whether in the form of increase and consolidation of some specific elements, relocationof productive activities, new urban incorporation strategies or new consumptionpractices.

Partindodessa premissa, no presente artigo propomos uma análise da relação entre a estruturaçãourbana e a expressão da centralidade da cidade de Montes Claros. O estudo revela quehá um reforço à concentração dos meios de consumo coletivos em Montes Claros, fatoque reafirma a sua posição como pólo regional. Como parte desse processo, o territóriointra-urbano é modificado e, por sua vez, modifica as lógicas de reprodução da própriacidade.
