Environmental changes resulting from human actions have been intensifying since the 19th and 20th centuries, causing several transformations in the landscape from changes in land use and occupation. In several municipalities in the Pará state, including Cametá, the process of converting primary forest into other classes occurs continuously, regardless of its temporality and spatiality. Thus, this research aims to carry out the mapping of land use and land cover transformations in the Cametá municipality, between 1985, 2005 and 2020 in the area in question, using remote sensing and geoprocessing techniques, encompassing project bases MapBiomas. This analysis resulted in data on land use classes relevant to the period studied, such as: Forest Formation, Savana Formation, Flooded Field and Swamp Area, Campestre Formation, Pasture, Urban Infrastructure, River, Lake and Ocean and Other Temporary Crops. It is observed that the conversion of the Forest Formation class to the classes of Pasture, River, Lake and Ocean, Campestre Formation, Urban Infrastructure, Savanna Formation, Alagado Field and Swamp Area and Other Temporary Crops. The set of information from the present study is necessary for collaborating in the understanding of the spatial changes that occurred in the study area, enabling its evaluation and monitoring.
