Resumo: The text emphasizes the approximations between Geography and Literature motivated by the analysis of the spatial relations undertaken in the novel Julieta, Coisa e tal, written by Osmar Rodrigues Marques, set in the city of Caxias (MA-Brazil), in the 1970s/80s. The approximations were conducted by surveys of historical documents about Caxias and the author and by the ethnogeographic journey carried out in the places referenced in the novel and anchored in fruitful dialogues with authors dedicated to the links between Geography and Literature. The author brings the daily life of a brothel, which made us understand that the space lived in literature is active in the construction of the imaginary, making it possible to apprehend the construction of the feeling of belonging to the place.

Editora Unimontes2023-07-01info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionArtigoapplication/pdfhttps://www.periodicos.unimontes.br/index.php/cerrados/article/view/645110.46551/rc24482692202318Revista Cerrados; v. 21 n. 02 (2023): Revista Cerrados; 35-352448-26921678-8346reponame:Revista Cerrados (Montes Claros.
