Resumo: The pendular movement is characterized by the locomotion of a population between two or more municipalities seeking certain services. It can be said that it is a movement of departure and return, which is configured as na alternative to migration; mainly due to the significant costs of permanent displacement. In this sense, commuting becomes a viable alternative for those who do not have the resources or are not interested in moving from their current residence. Seeking to understand the pendular movements for study, this work aims to discuss the pendular movement of university students from the city of Francisco Sá to Montes Claros, cities located in the Intermediate Region of Montes Claros. For that, it was used as methodology, bibliographic and documental review, cartographic survey, data collection and quantitative analysis. As a result, it was found that students are mostly young people between 20 and 23 years old, female, colored/brown, who are studying for a degree at a public institution, UNIMONTES.

Se puede decir que es um movimiento de ida y vuelta, que se configura como uma alternativa a la migración; principalmente debido a los costos significativos del desplazamiento permanente. Em este sentido, el desplazamiento se convierte em uma alternativa viable para quienes no cuentan com los recursos o no están interesados em mudarse de su residencia actual. Buscando comprender los movimientos pendulares para el estudio, este trabajo tiene como objetivo discutir el movimiento pendular de estudiantes universitarios de la ciudad de Francisco Sá para Montes Claros, ciudades ubicadas em la Región Intermedia de Montes Claros. Para ello, se utilizó como metodología, revisión bibliográfica y documental, levantamiento cartográfico, recolección de datos y análisis cuantitativo. Como resultado se encontró que los estudiantes son em su mayoría jóvenes entre 20 y 23 años, sexo femenino, de color/marrones, que cursan estudios de grado em uma institución pública, UNIMONTES.O movimento pendular caracteriza-se pela locomoção de uma população entre dois ou mais municípios buscando determinados serviços. Pode-se dizer que é um movimento de partida e regresso, o qual configura-se como uma alternativa à migração; devido, principalmente, aos custos significativos de um deslocamento permanente. Neste sentido, a pendularidade torna-se uma alternativa viável para aqueles que não dispõem de recursos ou não estão interessados em mudar de sua residência atual. Buscando compreender os movimentos pendulares para estudo, este trabalho visa discutir o movimento pendular de estudantes universitários da cidade de Francisco Sá com destino a Montes Claros, cidades localizadas na Região Intermediária de Montes Claros. Para tanto, utilizou-se como metodologia, revisão bibliográfica e documental, levantamento cartográfico, coleta de dados e análise quantitativa.
