Resumo: The transformations of the city, culminating in several social processes are constantly and rapidly, so far hampered the adoption of effective planning andmanagement. In this sense, the use of technological tools such as geo, to monitor the urban space is a promising alternative to the management of urban space more efficiently. The combination of these technologies to the legal instruments provided for in the Brazilian constitution is a way to minimize segregatórios urban spatial processes. Within this perspective, this article presents a reflection about the possibilities of applications of geo-technology in line with the instruments of urban planning under Brazilian law.

Nesse sentido, o uso de instrumentos tecnológicos, como as geotecnologias, para monitorar o espaço urbano é uma alternativa para tornar a gestão do espaço urbano mais eficiente. A associação dessas tecnologias aos instrumentos jurídicos previstos na constituição brasileira é uma forma de minimizar processos espaciais urbanos segregatórios.
