Resumo: Este artigo tem por objetivo fazer uma breve revisão da literatura e relatarum caso de acidente na infância por mordedura canina, com posteriorreabilitação odontológica. Também, serve de alerta aos profissionais daárea da saúde, em especial os odontopediatras, para que participemorientando os pais, a família ou quem tem a responsabilidade de cuidar dacriança, quanto aos riscos de acidentes com seus filhos e estratégias parasua prevenção.
