Resumo: Pregnancy, which for a long time was a process inherent to women, has undergone changes, expanding the involvement of family members, especially men, since it is of fundamental importance for a quality pregnancy. In this scenario, designing actions aimed at men's health in prenatal care can be a challenge, but also a strategic alternative that articulates sexual and reproductive health actions and those that seek to encourage participatory fatherhood. The aim of thi research was to develop a mobile application for smartphones and tablets for Man's Prenatal Care. This research was applied carried out in 2021. The creation of the application was based on the system development life cycle theory, using the concepts of prototyping. The construction process took place in three phases: Survey of needs, which took place through an online questionnaire and a compilation of information that served as the basis for the content structuring of the application; the sample for the collection of information presented in the application was composed of 16 nurses working in primary health care; Project, which is the elaboration of the prototype on paper and Application Development, which consists of choosing the software with the appropriate tools for the demands raised, thus initiating the development and transposition of the prototype, transforming it, in fact, into an application mobile. The first version of the application was then evaluated by 08 nurse researchers with expertise in Men's Health. The characteristics considered for the professionals to participate in the research were being a nurse at a basic health unit and performing low-risk prenatal care in the city of Foz do Iguaçu - PR. The Android StudioTM software and the “flutter” programming language were chosen with adequate tools for the demands raised, for installation on devices (smartphone / tablet) with the Android operating system. When starting the application, a screen opens that shows the user four menu options: Application Information, Men's Health, Children's Health and Women's Health. In order to include all the information related to the subject of the study, 60 screens were developed, which have the theoretical contents of the subject (prepared from specific bibliographies on the subject), images and tables with the objective of carrying out health education . The app is free and will be available on the Play Store. The Pre-Natal application was planned and developed with the main objective of contributing to men's health care, especially during the gestational process. For this, the application had the following topics: Men's health, where it is presented to the user from explanations regarding prenatal care and its importance, to necessary care for their health and that of their partners. Child health, being exposed to care in the puerperium phase, relevant information regarding breastfeeding and guidelines related to the child's immunization schedule. Regarding the topic Health of the pregnant woman, the application provides information about the stages of pregnancy, types of delivery and also instructions regarding the law of the companion. It is expected that the application, in addition to contributing to greater paternal involvement in the gestational process, will also become a source of information regarding the health of men, children and pregnant women.

Submitted by Katia Abreu (katia.abreu@unioeste.br) on 2023-07-28T11:48:17Z No. of bitstreams: 2 Daniel_Vinicio_Dias_Ferreira_2022.pdf: 4141817 bytes, checksum: beac29449ff8c8f13835c4da094d2b33 (MD5) license_rdf: 0 bytes, checksum: d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2023-07-28T11:48:17Z (GMT). description Pregnancy, which for a long time was a process inherent to women, has undergone changes, expanding the involvement of family members, especially men, since it is of fundamental importance for a quality pregnancy.
