Resumo: The animals have internal systems of temperature control, this fact causes that in adverse situations these systems take action to regulate the corporal temperature. When this situation occurs, the activation of thermoregulatory systems that use a greater amount of internal energy occurs to try to regulate the temperature of the body to an adequate value to the development. This case applies to agricultural production, with emphasis in this work on swine, so when the environment, in this case a pigsty, is thermally adequate, it avoids thermal stress and favors the development of the animal. The objective of this work was to evaluate the thermal comfort conditions in pigsty of pigs in the western region of the state of Paraná. For the development of this research were used three rural properties located in the city of Santa Helena, in the west of the state of Paraná, in total the properties have six pigs. Daily temperature and relative humidity measurements were taken on the inside and outside of the pens with the use of a thermohygrometer simultaneously, as well as the verification of the superficial temperature of the animals with the use of a thermal imager at three times a day (09:00, 15:00 and 19:00 hours). It was observed that the "1C" shed, with ceramic tile cover, was the one that most approached the conditions said to be ideal, having as a result of temperature and relative humidity of the air in the internal environment the average of 26,9 ° C and 76% at 09:00, 31.6 ° C and 58% at 3:00 p.m. and 29.3 ° C and 66% at 7:00 p.m. The "3B" shed, with fiber cement tile coverage, was the one that further distanced itself from the values considered as ideal of thermal comfort, having as a result of temperature and relative humidity of the air in the internal environment the average of 27,5 ° C and 72% at 09:00, 32.2 ° C and 58% at 3:00 p.m. and 30.0 ° C and 60% at 7:00 p.m. The results showed that none of the pigs analyzed had thermally comfortable conditions for the development of pig production.

Quando há essa situação, ocorre o acionamento de sistemas termorreguladores que utilizam uma maior quantidade de energia interna para tentar regular a temperatura do corpo a um valor adequado ao desenvolvimento. Esse caso aplica-se à produção agropecuária, tendo ênfase nesse trabalho a suinocultura, sendo assim quando o ambiente, no caso uma pocilga, é adequado termicamente, evita-se o stress térmico e favorece o desenvolvimento do animal. Esse trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar as condições conforto térmico em pocilgas de suínos de corte na região oeste do estado do Paraná. Para o desenvolvimento dessa pesquisa foram utilizadas três propriedades rurais localizadas na cidade de Santa Helena, no oeste do estado do Paraná, no total as propriedades possuem seis pocilgas. Foram feitas medições diárias de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar na parte interna e externa das pocilgas com a utilização de um termo-higrômetro de forma simultânea, assim como a verificação da temperatura superficial dos animais com a utilização de um termovisor em três horários do dia (09:00, 15:00 e 19:00 horas). Observou-se que a pocilga “1C”, com cobertura de telha cerâmica, foi aquela que mais se aproximou das condições ditas como ideais, tendo como resultado de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar no ambiente interno a média de 26,9°C e 76% para às 09:00, de 31,6°C e 58% para às 15:00 horas e de 29,3°C e 66% para às 19:00 horas. A pocilga “3B”, com cobertura de telha de fibrocimento, foi aquela que mais distanciou-se dos valores tidos como ideais de conforto térmico, tendo como resultado de temperatura e umidade relativa do ar no ambiente interno a média de 27,5°C e 72% para às 09:00, de 32,2°C e 58% para às 15:00 horas e de 30,0°C e 60% para às 19:00 horas.
