Resumo: This research has been an opportunity to analyze possible relations between cinema and the essay production and may contribute to the Comparative Studies area, as well as to Music Therapy reseach. The essay, object of study produced by Oliver Sacks, “The Last Hippie” and the film work inspired by it, The Music Never Stopped, whose director is Jim Kohlberg. The research question based on the perspective of “translation”, as passage and presence, is about possible passages and/or rendezvous, here understood in the blurring of limits between an essay and a film work, based on the theoretical-philosophical perspective of Bourriaud and Gumbrecht, and on the studies about essay and film, but also on professionals’ approach in Music Therapy area concerning the film. It is possible “another perspective” configured in an act of creation, able to translate and pass an idea into an object, an image into a form, or from a form into an idea. Music as an idea, in an object of investigation, in a film, an image, for example, on approaching music therapy, is thinking about it in music therapy, as a creation, possibility of Stimmung, as well as radicant. This theoretical practical research has a qualitative approach with the possibility to “listen” to music therapists. Thus, to record the research subjects’ eye-looks, a table was filled in by them, previously prepared with eleven scenes from the film and three observation points. The basic idea was that, in the distance from the film presence, from sensations caused by its poetics, the subject could describe freely about images that were recorded, with gifted access to the experiences and their practices. In those rendezvous and passages among essay, film work and discussion of music therapist’s role, the idea was to discuss in favor of a possible “other perspective” to think about music in music therapy, the essay in the passage to the film, as a …radicant creation, poetry, and Stimmung

O ensaio “O último hippie”, objeto de estudo produzido por Oliver Sacks, e a obra fílmica inspirada nele, A música nunca parou, sob a direção de Jim Kohlberg. A questão da pesquisa baseia-se na perspectiva de “tradução”, como passagem e presença, é sobre as possíveis passagens e/ou encontros, aqui entendidos no esmaecer dos limites entre ensaio e obra fílmica, com base na perspectiva teórico-filosófica de Bourriaud e Gumbrecht, e pelos estudos sobre ensaio e filme, mas também pela visão dos profissionais da área da Musicoterapia sobre o filme. Vê-se a possibilidade de “outro olhar” configurado em um ato de criação capaz de traduzir e passar uma ideia em um objeto, uma imagem em uma forma, ou de uma forma em uma ideia. A música como ideia, em um objeto de investigação, em um filme, uma imagem, por exemplo, na forma de abordar a musicoterapia, pensar a música na musicoterapia, enquanto criação, possibilidade de Stimmung, bem como radicante. A pesquisa teórico-prática tem uma abordagem qualitativa com a opção do trabalho de campo para “ouvir” musicoterapeutas. Para registrar os “olhares” dos sujeitos da pesquisa, um quadro foi preenchido por eles, previamente elaborado com onze cenas do filme em destaque e três pontos de observação. A ideia básica era que, no distanciamento da presença do filme, das sensações provocadas pela poética desse, o sujeito pudesse descrever livremente sobre as imagens que ficaram marcadas, com acesso privilegiado às experiências e suas práticas.
