Resumo: According to epidemiological data, mortality rates have been progressing due to CVD, one way to reduce the risks is the practice of physical exercises, Pilates Method has been consolidating a physical exercise, has emphasis on the control of body and mind, and can be practiced on the ground or in apparatus where body and spring resistance is used. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the beneficial effects of Pilates practice and its influence on cardiovascular and metabolic parameters in practicing adult women. This is a cross-sectional study, which included women practicing the Pilates method, submitted to a quality of life questionnaire and physical evaluation, observing vital data and anthropometry, and then the training protocol was applied during the ten sessions. The data were analyzed by the GraphPad Prism statistical software, for data normality analysis the Shapiro Wilk test was applied, and for the paired analysis the repeated measure Anova test was performed to compare the Student's T test in case of distribution. normal or Wilcoxon test for variables that did not follow Gaussian distribution. The significance level used will be 5%. Among the results the Pilates method practice potentiated the cardioprotective effect on the cardiovascular and metabolic alterations of women.

Among the results the Pilates method practice potentiated the cardioprotective effect on the cardiovascular and metabolic alterations of women.
