Resumo: | BACKGROUND: Physical activity is present in the current discourse of the Brazilian government (2019-2022), since the campaign program and currently on institutional channels and on its virtual social networks.OBJECTIVE: To briefly present and discuss physical activity in the discourse of the current Brazilian government, from the perspective of the health sector.METHODS: Exploratory search on the website of the Secretary of Primary Health Care, on the Instagram of the Ministry of Health and related news and information. Used content analysis was performed and the following categories were identified: i) health benefits of physical activity and prevention diseases; ii) the formulation of a physical activity program in SUS; iii) the discourse of active and healthy life in image resources. RESULTS: Several mentions to physical activity were found related to different health outcomes.CONCLUSION: The Ministry of Health has been using the informational perspectives that base and shape the broad recognition of physical activity related to health and disease prevention, but there are possible contradictions between current government policy options and actions and the importance of physical activity. And the discourse of active and healthy life in image resources needs to seek to encompass the related complexities. |
