Individualized Educational Plan and the recognition of difference for the teaching of Physical Education

Resumo: OBJECTIVE: This study aims to analyze master’s and doctoral research on the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), in order to understand how the issue of difference is considered in the organization of teaching.METHODS: It is characterized as a review study and was organized from searches for dissertations and theses that present discussions about the IEP. The searches were carried out in the Capes theses and dissertations catalog, using the defined descriptor: “Individualized Educational Plan”. The theoretical productions that composed the material of analysis of this research consisted of: ten master’s dissertations and two doctoral theses. RESULTS: Two categories were established for analysis and reflection: a) Understanding the IEP in teaching and learning processes; b) Understanding the difference in teaching and learning processes. The first category of analysis allowed us to identify that the PEI is presented in research as an important pedagogical instrument in the organization of teaching, for learning and for the development of students with special educational needs, in order to contribute to an effective process of school inclusion. In the second category, we observed that the analyzed studies do not present a specific theoretical-conceptual discussion about difference, but they present discussions and reflections about difference from their objects of study, which allow us to identify understandings about difference, as an integral part of the process of teaching and learning.CONCLUSION: We understand that for the organization of an inclusive Physical Education, which considers the differences in teaching and learning activities, it is necessary to change the teaching organization, which must go through all stages of the training process. From this demand for changes, we consider that the PEI is an instrument to be explored and experimented in different situations of teaching Physical Education at school.

MÉTODOS: Caracteriza-se como um estudo de revisão e foi organizado a partir de buscas por dissertações e teses que apresentam discussões sobre o PEI. As buscas foram realizadas no catálogo de teses e dissertações da Capes, por meio do descritor definido: “Plano Educacional Individualizado”. As produções teóricas que compuseram o material de análise dessa pesquisa consistiram em: dez dissertações de mestrado e duas teses de doutorado.RESULTADOS: Foram estabelecidas duas categorias para análise e reflexão: a) A compreensão do PEI nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem; b) A compreensão da diferença nos processos de ensino e aprendizagem. A primeira categoria de análise permitiu identificarmos que o PEI apresenta-se nas pesquisas como um importante instrumento pedagógico na organização do ensino, para a aprendizagem e para o desenvolvimento dos alunos com necessidades educacionais especiais, afim de contribuir para um processo efetivo de inclusão escolar. Na segunda categoria, observamos que os estudos analisados não apresentam uma discussão teórica-conceitual específica sobre a diferença, porém apresentam discussões e reflexões sobre a diferença a partir de seus objetos de estudo, que permite identificarmos compreensões acerca da diferença, como parte integrante do processo de ensino e aprendizagem.CONCLUSÃO: Entendemos que para a organização de uma Educação Física inclusiva, que considere as diferenças nas atividades de ensino e de aprendizagem, é preciso mudanças na organização do ensino, que devem passar por todas as etapas do processo formativo.
