Resumo: The present work aims to assess how the urban development level of productive structures of Minas Gerais micro regions affects the probability of an individual having an occupation in the labor market. In order to do so, based on Census data (2010), a two level hierarchical logistic model was estimated and used to verify how the probability of workers with similar characteristics have an occupation (level 1) varies, considering that they dwell in different micro regions (level 2). Results show that the probability of an individual having an occupation is larger if he is male, white, lives in rural areas, is older and more educated. Moreover, urban attributes of micro regions, like urbanization rate and modern services density, have a positive influence on the occupation status of the individuals, however, it is not representative when compared to individual attributes.

EdUnioeste2016-06-02info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/1358710.48075/igepec.v20i1.13587Informe GEPEC; v. 20 n. 1 (2016); 78-971679-415X1676-067010.48075/igepec.v20i1reponame:Informe Gepec (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE)instacron:UNIOESTEporhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/13587/10026Freitas de Campos, LedianyStael Fernandes Martins, NildredHermeto Camilo de Oliveira, Ana MariaFerreira Simões, Rodrigoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-05-16T22:12:44Zoai:ojs.e-revista.unioeste.br:article/13587Revistahttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepecPUBhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/oairevista.gepec@gmail.com1679-415X1676-0670opendoar:2023-05-16T22:12:44Informe Gepec (Online) - Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE)false
