Resumo: | The circular economy (EC) seeks the best use of resources and the reduction of waste, aiming to mitigate the impacts caused to the environment. Due to the possible convergence of philosophy that may exist between organic production and what is recommended by CE, the objective of this work was to analyze which practices have been adopted in the organic tomato production system and what are their relationships with CE. An applied, descriptive and qualitative research was carried out, whose technical procedure adopted was the case study. As main results, it was confirmed that there is a direct relationship between the production of organic tomatoes and CE, and an alignment between these two philosophies, notably when practices of the ReSOLVE framework (regenerate, share, optimize, cycle) were identified in the production of organic tomatoes, virtualize and swap). |
