Resumo: Chamomile [Chamomilla recutita (L.) Rauschert] is one of the most cultivated and used medicinal plants in Brazil and in the world. The Mandirituba presented the best yield of floral chapitulas, essential oil and the best economic yield among the analyzed chamomile cultivars, and also when compared to annual soybean, corn and wheat crops harvested in the metropolitan area of Curitiba. The best economic alternative for the family farmer is the commercialization of the dried product (floral capitulas and mixed chamomile) for tea and pharmaceutical industries. The culture contributes to regional development through economic and social benefits to producers and municipalities due to high income per area and intensive use of labor in all crop phases and an excellent alternative of low environmental impact production.

EdUnioeste2018-02-26info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/1635310.48075/igepec.v21i2.16353Informe GEPEC; v. 21 n. 2 (2017); 122-1301679-415X1676-067010.48075/igepec.v21i2reponame:Informe Gepec (Online)instname:Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE)instacron:UNIOESTEporhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/article/view/16353/12493Matsushita, Milton SatoshiDeschamps, CíceroCorrêa Júnior, Cirinoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-05-16T22:12:12Zoai:ojs.e-revista.unioeste.br:article/16353Revistahttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepecPUBhttps://e-revista.unioeste.br/index.php/gepec/oairevista.gepec@gmail.com1679-415X1676-0670opendoar:2023-05-16T22:12:12Informe Gepec (Online) - Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (UNIOESTE)false
