Resumo: This article analyzes the neoliberal influences in the Brazilian State and its educational policies through recent decades and the changes caused by these policies in the professional performance of teachers. From bibliographical research that describes the neoliberal economic model and rescues its arrival in Brazil in the 1990s, we sought to understand the transformations that this model brought to the Brazilian State and to schools in recent years in order to make a critical reading regarding how the mischaracterization of the teacher's work has been happening in contemporary times. It can be seen that the evaluation proposal of the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb), which responds to the neoliberal need to control public services, and Brazil’s National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC), among other government proposals, transform both school activities and teacher practices daily, controlling what and how they teach, aligning their work with neoliberal premises.

A partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que descreve o modelo econômico neoliberal e resgata a sua chegada ao Brasil dos anos 1990, buscou-se compreender as transformações que esse modelo trouxe ao Estado brasileiro e às escolas nos últimos anos a fim de se fazer uma leitura crítica sobre como a descaracterização do trabalho do professor vem acontecendo na contemporaneidade. Percebe-se que a proposta avaliativa do Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica (Saeb), que responde à necessidade neoliberal de controle dos serviços públicos, e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), entre outras propostas governamentais, transformam cotidianamente as atividades da escola e as práticas do professor, controlando o que e como ele ensina e alinhando o seu trabalho às premissas neoliberais.Este artículo analiza las influencias neoliberales en el Estado y en las políticas educativas brasileñas de las últimas décadas y los cambios provocados por esas políticas en el desempeño profesional del docente. A partir de una investigación bibliográfica que describe el modelo económico neoliberal y rescata su llegada a Brasil en la década de 1990, se buscó las transformaciones que ese modelo trajo al Estado brasileño y a las escuelas en los últimos años para hacer una lectura crítica sobre cómo la descaracterización del trabajo del profesor viene ocurriendo en la contemporaneidad.
