Resumo: | The article, in the light of the fundamental social right to education, presents reflections on the erosion of formal education and citizenship and the contemporary challenges in teaching action to confront inequalities and low learning. While acknowledging the importance of information technologies (IT) in the teaching-learning process, it is evident in formal education the deepening of inequalities in access to and appropriation of knowledge via information technologies, reproducing and deepening existing social inequalities and the importance of the (re)invention of teaching action to act in this new technological environment and social engagement as a way of overcoming learning deficits is highlighted. |
