It is an offshoot of issues highlighted because of the language hybridization processes. Among the actions of this research is the analysis of children's magazines, aiming the identification and characterization of verbal and visual appeals employed in its constitution and that involve the reader. The descriptive and analytical study investigates how language, culture and vision of childhood constitute and are constituted by the covers of the magazines Recreio, Ciência hoje das crianças and Turma da Mônica.
