Quality and innovation in public transportation service in Goiania – GO – Brazil

Resumo: The objective of this paper is to assess the dynamics of an intelligent transportation system (ITS) in the public sphere in Goiania (GO), Midwest region of Brazil, from the point of view of players related to the service – government, transportation companies and the citizen (user). Based on the literature of services quality and innovation, interviews with specialists and a survey were conducted. The results pointed to divergence in opinions. For the user, the new system did not overcome most of the deficiencies of the public transportation, although government and transit companies view the matter in an optimistic way.

For the user, the new system did not overcome most of the deficiencies of the public transportation, although government and transit companies view the matter in an optimistic way.: O objetivo deste estudo consistiu em avaliar a dinâmica de funcionamento de um Sistema Inteligente de Transporte (ITS) coletivo em Goiânia (GO), região Centro-Oeste do Brasil, a partir do ponto de vista de pessoas e entidades relacionadas ao serviço – Poder Público, operadoras e população usuária. Tendo como referência a literatura sobre qualidade em serviços e inovação, foram realizadas pesquisas qualitativas e quantitativas com esses interessados. Os resultados apontaram divergências de percepções.
