New business in journalism: A scenario of opportunities

Resumo: This article presents the partial results of the research that investigated about the scenario of the new journalism business in Rio Grande do Sul. From interviews with journalists who stopped acting in the traditional media and have become entrepreneurs, the study maps and analyzes the characteristics of companies managed by these professionals. The first results indicate that these enterprises operate on different fronts: providing services to the ones considered traditional media, but also to companies of many business areas, in on-demand production.Keywords: entrepreneurship, journalism, new business.

A partir de entrevistas com jornalistas que deixaram de atuar nas mídias tradicionais e se transformaram em empreendedores, o estudo mapeia e analisa as características de empresas capitaneadas por esses profissionais.
