Resumo: Starting from the medium/form distinction, I expect to demonstrate that this is a key feature of German media theory and its main authors, like Kittler, Gumbrecht and others. From that distinction, other concepts that characterize the German approach are developed: externality, technological- medial a priori, corporality, presence and cultural techniques. My proposal is to turn German media theory upside down: if a given materiality is a heuristic tool that expresses a medium, my proposal is to treat German media theory as an exploratory probe that brings out a certain epistemology with theoretical tools, thus producing a specific kind of academic subjectivity. Keywords: epistemology, media studies, German media theory, materiality of communication, media archaeology.

Verso e Reverso2016-10-17info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereverso/article/view/ver.2017.31.78.0110.4013/ver.2017.31.78.01Verso e Reverso; v. 31 n. 78 (2017); 173-1811806-6925reponame:Verso e Reverso (Online)instname:Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS)instacron:UNISINOSporhttps://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereverso/article/view/ver.2017.31.78.01/6251Telles, Marcioinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2017-10-31T10:34:35Zoai:ojs2.revistas.unisinos.br:article/12567Revistahttp://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereversoPRIhttp://revistas.unisinos.br/index.php/versoereverso/oaiperiodicos@unisinos.br||bmarocco@unisinos.br1806-69250103-1414opendoar:2017-10-31T10:34:35Verso e Reverso (Online) - Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS)false
