Resumo: The aim of this article is to analyze the Spanish Flu pandemic between 1918 and 1919 from the work developed by the São Vicente de Paulo Society in Goiás City. It is intended to understand how the Vincentians managed to rid the virus from São Vicente de Paulo Asylum, and also the work developed by this lay society during the outbreak, emphasizing the hygienic-sanitary character of these services.
