STRATEGIES AND COMPETITIVE CHALLENGES IN THE WINE CHAIN IN THE STATE OF PARANÁ

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to understand how the competitive dynamics of table wine wineries in the state of Paraná occur. To this end, a qualitative research was carried out through semi-structured interviews with representatives of wineries and associations of viticulture in Paraná. From the results obtained, it was found that there is a high threat from new entrants and substitute products, while the threat from competitors is low, and the bargaining power of customers and suppliers is different, depending on the characteristics of each winery. The generic strategy used by the companies interviewed, according to the interviewees, is differentiation, and the challenges faced by wineries are linked to the relationship with suppliers, customer loyalty and threats to the maintenance of the vineyards. As a conclusion, it was found that the competitive dynamics of this sector is complex, composed of a respectful competition environment and with different challenges in a market that continues to expand.

Para ello, se realizó una investigación cualitativa a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas con representantes de bodegas y asociaciones de vitivinícolas de Paraná. A partir de los resultados obtenidos, se encontró que existe una alta amenaza de nuevos entrantes y productos sustitutos, mientras que la amenaza de los competidores es baja y el poder de negociación de clientes y proveedores es diferente, dependiendo de las características de cada bodega. La estrategia genérica utilizada por las empresas entrevistadas, según los entrevistados, es la diferenciación, y los retos a los que se enfrentan las bodegas están vinculados a la relación con los proveedores, la fidelización de los clientes y las amenazas al mantenimiento de los viñedos. Como conclusión, se encontró que la dinámica competitiva de este sector es compleja, compuesta por un entorno competitivo respetuoso y con diferentes desafíos en un mercado que sigue en expansión.O objetivo deste artigo é compreender como se dá a dinâmica competitiva das vinícolas de vinhos de mesa no estado do Paraná. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa através de entrevistas semiestruturadas com representantes de vinícolas e de associações de vitivinicultura paranaenses. A partir dos resultados obtidos, constatou-se que há uma alta ameaça de novos entrantes e de produtos substitutos, enquanto a ameaça de concorrentes é baixa, e o poder de barganha dos clientes e dos fornecedores é diferente, a depender das características de cada vinícola. A estratégia genérica utilizada pelas empresas entrevistadas, segundo os entrevistados, é a diferenciação, sendo que os desafios enfrentados pelas vinícolas estão ligados ao relacionamento com fornecedores, fidelização dos clientes e ameaças na manutenção dos vinhedos.
