Resumo: This study aims to evaluate the port community system (PCS) effect and its influence in port performance. In the Portuguese case, the port single window (JUP) is evaluated, with which it is identified. It was used analysis of the main components and the structural equation modeling (SEM) methodology, applied to the sample of 153 valid responses, obtained in the Portuguese port community. The results show different factors that constitute the port community system and big differences between the generic PCS and the Portuguese PCS (JUP). The performance factors also present strong differences. As the main contribution, we verify the different factors of PCS with impact on different performance factors.

En el caso portugués, se evalúa la ventana de puerto único (JUP), con la cual se identifica. Se aplica el análisis de componentes principales y la metodología structural equation modeling (SEM), aplicada a la muestra de 153 respuestas válidas, obtenida en la comunidad portuaria portuguesa. Los resultados muestran diferentes factores que constituyen el sistema portuario comunitario y grandes diferencias entre el PCS genérico y el PCS portugués (JUP). Los factores de rendimiento también difieren notablemente. Como contribución principal, hay diferentes factores SCP que tienen un impacto en diferentes factores de rendimiento en el puerto.Este estudo tem como propósito avaliar o efeito do sistema comunitário portuário (SCP) e a sua influência no desempenho do porto. Avalia-se, no caso português, a janela única portuária (JUP), com que se identifica. Recorre-se à análise das componentes principais e à metodologia structural equation modeling (SEM), aplicadas á amostra de 153 respostas válidas, obtidas na comunidade portuária portuguesa. Os resultados mostram diferentes factores que constituem  o sistema comunitário portuário e grandes diferenças entre o SCP genérico e o SCP português (JUP). Os factores de desempenho também apresentam fortes diferenças.
