Resumo: The present study proposes to analyze photography from the work of artists who appropriate images produced by other people. The resignification built from these postphotographs, in Joan Fontcuberta's term, provokes a questioning about our relationship with images. It seeks to reflect on the production of photographs, the use of images and the displacement of their primary meaning in contemporary artists such as Rosangela Rennó, Martha Rosler, Joachim Schmid, Penelope Umbrico, Michael Wolf, Mishka Henner.
