MEMORY AND IMAGINATION IN ART PRODUCTION: REPORTS AND WORKS BY ARTIST PEDRO CORREA FROM TUBARÃO – SANTA CATARINA

Resumo: | This research seeks to present the story of Pedro Antonio Correa, an artist from Tubarão whose works portray spaces of the municipality of Tubarão and other cities adjacent to it, recording his way of observing these collectively shared places. We also present the relationship between Art and Imaginary and propose to identify the recurrences of images in the aforementioned artist's productions and the process through which they were conceived, establishing a relationship with the image regime that mobilizes the production of an artist on your location. We verified that the images produced by Pedro Correa arouse the atmosphere of recollection, inversion and tranquility, an atmosphere typical of images related to the Night Regime in the theory of the Imaginary (DURAND, 2002). We also reflect on the fact that the aforementioned works originated in the memory and imagination of the aforementioned artist, devices of the Imaginary that modulate our representations and allow for a discussion about Imaginary and Art. |

Apresentamos, também, as relações entre Arte e Imaginário e propomos identificar as recorrências de imagens nas produções do mencionado artista e o processo por meio do qual elas foram concebidas, estabelecendo uma relação com o regime de imagem que mobiliza a produção de um artista sobre o seu local. Verificamos que as imagens produzidas por Pedro Corrêa suscitam a atmosfera de recolhimento, inversão e tranquilidade, atmosfera própria das imagens relacionadas ao Regime Noturno na teoria do Imaginário (DURAND, 2002).
