THE STUDY OF LANGUAGE AND EXPRESSIVE INTONATION:: ON THE METHODOLOGICAL ORGANIZATION PROPOSED BY VOLOSHINOV

Resumo: The present text aims to explore the methodological order of study of language, such as proposed by Russian thinker Valentin N. Voloshinov, in his book Marxism and the Philosophy of Language. For this purpose, this text develops three sections, which seek to correspond to the three points of the methodological organization mentioned. Firstly, this text presents the close link between types of communication, social practices, and specific forms of utterance. Then, the present text focuses on the extraverbal part of the utterance. Subsequently, this text discusses the verbal part of the utterance. Finally, in addition to these three sections, this text provides a brief exemplification. The present text contributes to reinforcing the special place that the Russian thinker attributes to expressive intonation, taken as the most complete realization of social evaluation.

Volóshinov, en su obra “El marxismo y la filosofía del lenguaje”. Para ello, se desarrollan tres secciones que buscan corresponder a los tres puntos de la mencionada organización metodológica. En un primer momento, el texto presenta el estrecho vínculo entre los tipos de comunicación, las prácticas sociales y las formas específicas de enunciados. Luego, el texto se centra en la parte extraverbal del enunciado. Posteriormente, el texto trata acerca de la parte verbal del enunciado. Finalmente, además de estas tres secciones, el texto ofrece una breve ejemplificación. En su conjunto, este texto contribuye a reforzar el lugar especial que el pensador ruso atribuye a la entonación expresiva, considerada como la más plena realización de la evaluación social.O presente texto intenta explorar a ordem metodológica para o estudo da língua, tal como proposta pelo pensador russo Valentin N. Volóchinov, em sua obra Marxismo e filosofia da linguagem: problemas fundamentais do método sociológico na ciência da linguagem. Para isso, são desenvolvidas três seções, que buscam corresponder aos três pontos da referida organização metodológica. Em um primeiro momento, o texto apresenta o vínculo estreito entre os tipos de comunicação, as práticas sociais e as formas específicas de enunciados. Em seguida, o texto concentra-se na parte extraverbal do enunciado. Posteriormente, o texto discorre a respeito da parte verbal do enunciado. Finalmente, em acréscimo a essas três seções, o texto avança uma breve exemplificação.
