WOMEN AND SPORT: INITIAL WORDS ABOUT THE CHALLENGES TO THE TEACHING AT SCHOOL

Resumo: The experiences of boys and girls throughout their infancy and schooling period tend to educate their bodies in different wayson many aspects. This article sought to problematize some challenges to the teaching Physical Education at school, deepening the connection between women and sport. For this, it was considered historic moments which have placed boys and girls in different fields of membership, face to body and sports practices. It was also considered the experience of women athletes who, along the twentieth century, was marked by various discourses of interdictions and prohibition orders to restrict their sociability to the private sphere of life. At the end, after circumscribing the relation between women and sport in some of their historical, social and political dimensions, it was launched some challenges to teach sports to girls, considering the social relevance of this phenomenon in our society.

Este artículo busca problematizar algunos desafíos de la enseñanza de la Educación Física en la escuela, profundizando la relación existente entre mujer y deporte. Para eso fueron considerados momentos históricos que situaban niños y niñas en diferentes campos de pertenencia frente las prácticas corporales y deportivas. También fueron consideradas la experiencia de mujeres atletas que, durante el siglo XX, fue marcada por varios discursos de interdicciones y prohibiciones que buscaban restringir sus sociabilidades al ámbito privado de la vida. Al fin, después de circunscribir la relación entre mujer y deporte en algunas de sus dimensiones históricas, sociales y políticas, se lanzaran algunos desafíos de enseñar deportes para niñas, considerando la relevancia social de este fenómeno en nuestra sociedad.As experiências de meninos e meninas, ao longo da sua infância e período de escolarização, tendem a educar seus corpos, em muitos aspectos, de modos distintos. Este artigo buscou problematizar alguns desafios ao ensino da Educação Física na escola, aprofundando a relação existente entre mulher e esporte. Para isso, foram considerados momentos históricos que situavam meninos e meninas em diferentes campos de pertencimento frente às praticas corporais e esportivas. Considerou-se, também, a experiência de mulheres atletas que, ao longo do século XX, encontrou-se marcada por vários discursos de interdições e proibições que buscavam restringir suas sociabilidades ao âmbito privado da vida.
