Resumo: This work searches comprehend the process of identity construction of remaining Quilombola of Tucum community, localized in Tanhaçu village, which obtained the certification of recognition by Fundação Palmares in December 13th 2006. It is possible notice that this recognition interfered in the way of life of the community and that the identity, which is not fixed or immutable still expresses a process of permanent construction, and its senses are internal and external negotiated both by the way as the subjects appropriate themselves of the meaning of quilombola community and by the polysemy itself of this concept in their social and judicial expressions. Another aspect analyzed in the constitution of this community is regarded to the detached role of female leaders.

Another aspect analyzed in the constitution of this community is regarded to the detached role of female leaders.En este artículo se dedica a comprender el proceso de construcción de la identidad de la comunidad remanecientes quilombola de Tucum que se localiza en el municipio de Tanhaçu, que obtuvo su certificado de reconocimiento de la Fundación Palmares 13 de diciembre 2006. Es posible darse cuenta de que esta concesión interfiere el modo de vida de la comunidad y que la identidad no es fija ni inmutable, expresa todavía un proceso de construcción permanente, teniendo sus sentidos negociados internamente y externamente, sea por la forma en que los sujetos si apropian del significado de comunidad quilombola, sea por la propia polisemia de este concepto en sus expresiones sociales y legales. Otro de los aspectos analizados en la constitución de la comunidad se refirió al importante role de las mujeres líderes.Este artigo busca compreender o processo de construção da identidade da comunidade remanescente quilombola do Tucum, localizada no município de Tanhaçu, que obteve sua certidão de reconhecimento da Fundação Palmares em 13 de dezembro de 2006. Pode-se perceber que essa concessão interferiu no modo de vida da comunidade e que a identidade, que não é fixa ou imutável expressa ainda um processo de construção permanente tendo seus sentidos negociados interna e externamente, quer pelo modo como os sujeitos se apropriam do significado de comunidade quilombola quer pela própria polissemia desse conceito em suas expressões sociais e jurídicas.
