Human-machine relationships: : dialogues with Jung, Derrida, and Latour

Resumo: The use of platforms based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) mechanisms entered an almost unbridled phase of opening up to the public in 2022. At the same time, the debate around where this scenario will take us has intensified, involving entrepreneurs/developers, legislators, researchers and activists. In this study, we move away from the good-bad polarity and aim to understand how this technology affects human development and our culture based on human-machine relations. These reflections are based on three theoretical approaches: technology and the psyche (Jung, 1991, 2008, 2020, 2021), signature/countersignature and hospitality to the stranger (Derrida, 2003) and mediation (Latour, 2015). We realize that the future is nothing but literacy and regulation in the face of an already established reality, which imposes risks, but carries potential that - if appropriated with ethics, coherence and otherness - can make an exceptional contribution to educational processes.

Al mismo tiempo, se ha intensificado el debate sobre hacia dónde nos llevará este escenario, en el que participan empresarios/desarrolladores, legisladores, investigadores y activistas. En este estudio, nos alejamos de la polaridad bueno-malo y pretendemos entender cómo afecta esta tecnología al desarrollo humano y a nuestra cultura basada en las relaciones hombre-máquina. Estas reflexiones se apoyan en tres enfoques teóricos: la tecnología y la psique (Jung, 1991, 2008, 2020, 2021), la firma/contrafirma y la hospitalidad hacia el extraño (Derrida, 2003) y la mediación (Latour, 2015). Nos damos cuenta de que el futuro no es más que alfabetización y regulación frente a una realidad ya establecida, que impone riesgos pero conlleva un potencial que -si se apropia con ética, coherencia y alteridad- puede hacer una contribución excepcional a los procesos educativos.O uso de plataformas sustentadas em mecanismos de Inteligência Artificial (IA) entrou em fase quase desenfreada de abertura ao público em 2022. Ao mesmo tempo, o debate em torno de para onde este cenário nos levará se intensificou, envolvendo empresários/desenvolvedores, legisladores, pesquisadores e ativistas. Neste estudo, afastamo-nos da polaridade bem-mal e seguimos no intuito de compreender como essa tecnologia afeta o desenvolvimento humano e a nossa cultura a partir das relações homem-máquina. Essas reflexões estão amparadas em três abordagens teóricas, a saber: tecnologia e psiquismo (Jung, 1991, 2008, 2020, 2021), assinatura/contra-assinatura e hospitalidade ao estrangeiro (Derrida, 2003) e mediação (Latour, 2015).
