Analysis of Teachers and Students Perception from a Federal University of High Education About Education by Competencies and Active Methodologies through Factor Analysis

Resumo: Competence-based education, combined with the use of active methodologies, proposes a new dynamic in process of professional training, which uproots the traditional teaching-learning concept focused on teacher, a recurring agenda in discussions that involve centers of analysis of propositions and updates of pedagogical projects of accounting science courses in Brazil. Thus, this study aimed to analyze the perception of teachers and students about importance and use of education through skills and active methodologies. Exploratory research was carried out, through factor analysis, to associate variables that denote such perception. A questionnaire was applied through a survey to 24 professors and 206 students of the accounting sciences course at a federal public university. The results showed the construction of six concepts, from the extraction of factors from the set of items evaluated: (PA1) Dynamic classes with practical problem solving; (PA2) The playful in the development of competences; (PA3) Good practices of the dedicated teacher; (PA4) Rancid of passive methodologies; (PA5) Diversification of evaluation; and (PA6) Efficient teaching plan. The results showed that, with the exception of factor (PA4), which involves ingrained habits, all other factors are compatible with the theoretical bases that advocate the teaching-learning process and can contribute to a solid formation based on knowledge, science and in technologies. This indicates that it is a favorable environment for the construction of the new pedagogical project of the course, which, in turn, would be in line with the precepts proposed in the new curricular guidelines for accounting sciences.

Así, este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la percepción de docentes y estudiantes sobre la importancia y el uso de la educación por competencias y metodologías activas. Se realizó una investigación exploratoria, a través del análisis factorial, para asociar variables que denoten tal percepción. Se aplicó un cuestionario mediante encuesta a 24 profesores y 206 estudiantes de la carrera de ciencias contables de una universidad pública federal. Los resultados mostraron la construcción de seis conceptos, a partir de la extracción de factores del conjunto de ítems evaluados: (PA1) Clases dinámicas con resolución práctica de problemas; (PA2) La lúdica en el desarrollo de competencias; (PA3) Buenas prácticas del docente dedicado; (PA4) Rancio de metodologías pasivas; (PA5) Diversificación de la evaluación; y (PA6) Plan docente eficiente. Los resultados mostraron que, con excepción del factor (PA4), que involucra hábitos arraigados, todos los demás factores son compatibles con las bases teóricas que propugnan el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, y pueden contribuir a una sólida formación basada en el conocimiento, la ciencia y la tecnologías Esto indica que es un ambiente propicio para la construcción del nuevo proyecto pedagógico de la carrera, que, a su vez, estaría en consonancia con los preceptos propuestos en los nuevos lineamientos curriculares de ciencias contables.A educação por competências, aliada ao uso de metodologias ativas, propõe nova dinâmica no processo de formação profissional, que desenraiza o conceito de ensino-aprendizagem tradicional focado no docente, pauta recorrente nas discussões que envolvem núcleos de análise de proposições e atualizações de projetos pedagógicos de cursos de ciências contábeis no Brasil. Os resultados evidenciaram que, com exceção do fator (PA4), que envolve hábitos arraigados, todos os outros fatores são compatíveis com as bases teóricas que preconizam o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, podem contribuir para uma sólida formação baseada no conhecimento, na ciência e nas tecnologias.
