Perception of basic education teachers regarding the use of active methodologies

Resumo: In school education there are different types of methodologies that aim to achieve meaningful learning through successful teaching. It is noticed that nowadays, due to so many technological influences, the traditional method based simply on the imposing action of the teacher and the passive action of the student, in the action of memorizing content without critical reflection, has not been successful. On the other hand, active methodologies can point out ways to improve the quality of learning. This work aimed to verify the perception of public school teachers of basic education in a municipality in the region of Minas Gerais on the use and knowledge about active methodologies. The study was carried out through a descriptive quantitative research and data were collected through a questionnaire prepared by the authors based on the theoretical framework. Data were analyzed using statistical data analysis and the results were presented through graphs. Most teachers interviewed have similar opinions about the perception of the use of active methodology for learning. They considered that this type of methodology provides improvements in the teaching and learning processes and stated that they carried out studies to better understand the influences of active methodology on the educational process as a whole.

Se advierte que en la actualidad, debido a tantas influencias tecnológicas, el método tradicional basado simplemente en la acción impositiva del docente y la acción pasiva del alumno, en la acción de memorizar contenidos sin reflexión crítica, no ha tenido éxito. Por otro lado, las metodologías activas pueden señalar formas de mejorar la calidad del aprendizaje. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo verificar la percepción de los docentes de escuelas públicas de educación básica de un municipio de la región de Minas Gerais sobre el uso y conocimiento de las metodologías activas. El estudio se llevó a cabo mediante una investigación descriptiva cuantitativa y los datos fueron recolectados a través de un cuestionario elaborado por los autores en base al marco teórico. Los datos se analizaron mediante análisis de datos estadísticos y los resultados se presentaron mediante gráficos. La mayoría de los profesores entrevistados tienen opiniones similares sobre la percepción del uso de la metodología activa para el aprendizaje. Consideraron que este tipo de metodología aporta mejoras en los procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje y manifestaron que realizaron estudios para comprender mejor las influencias de la metodología activa en el proceso educativo en su conjunto.Na educação escolar existem diferentes tipos de metodologias que visam o alcance da aprendizagem significativa por meio de um ensino de sucesso. Percebe-se que na atualidade, mediante tantas influências tecnológicas, o método tradicional baseado simplesmente na ação impositiva do docente e passiva do aluno, na ação de decorar conteúdo sem a reflexão crítica, não tem sido bem-sucedido. Em contrapartida, as metodologias ativas podem apontar caminhos para melhorias na qualidade da aprendizagem. Este trabalho teve como objetivo de verificar a percepção de professores das escolas pública da educação básica de um município da zona da mata mineira sobre o uso e conhecimento acerca das metodologias ativas. O estudo foi realizado por meio de uma pesquisa quantitativa descritiva e os dados foram coletados por meio de um questionário elaborada pelos autores subsidiado no referencial teórico. Os dados foram analisados por meio da análise estatísticas de dados e os resultados foram apresentados através de gráficos. A maioria dos professores entrevistados apresenta ter opiniões semelhantes acerca da percepção quanto a utilização da metodologia ativa para aprendizagem.
