Resumo: | Disabled people have been victimized, over the centuries, by discrimination, exclusion and social cruelty. The fact is related, among other factors, to the lack of knowledge on the part of society about the different limitations and skills that these individuals can develop. In Brazil, laws were drafted in order to guarantee the rights of the disabled, such as, for example, the 1998 Constitutional text, which determines the right to labor quotas for the disabled. The present work aims to analyze social representation from the inclusion of the disabled in job vacancies provided by the municipal secretariats of the City of Guaraí / TO. The chosen methodology was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory documentary, based on the analysis of the registration data of disabled employees that were collected in the Municipality's Transparency Portal and in the City's Human Resources department. The investigation found 17 records of disabled employees active and invested in public positions, most of which are located in the Education and Culture Secretariat (SEMEC), occupying administrative or teacher positions. Among the conditions of employability of these employees, the issue of academic training stands out, since the largest number of disabled people working in the City Hall of Guaraí only has completed high school. |
