ENTREPRENEURSHIP ATTITUDE OF INDIVIDUAL MICRO ENTREPRENEUR AND THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY THIS BUSINESS

Resumo: The objective of this study was to evaluate the entrepreneurship attitudes of individual micro entrepreneur (MEI) and the service provided by this business. 202 MEIs and 12 managers of companies in the industrial sector, located in the state of Bahia participated. The instruments used were: MEI Characterization Questionnaire; Entrepreneurship Attitude Measurement Instrument (IMAE); and MEI Contracting Expectation and Evaluation Questionnaire. The main results show that most reported having formalized in the last three years, from the discovery of a business opportunity and having income of up to four salaries. Regarding the IMAE, the Prospecting and Innovation factor presented higher frequency of critical items. The Management and Persistence factor obtained a higher frequency of favorable items for entrepreneurship attitudes. As for the industrial sector, high expectations were identified for the hiring of MEIs, but signaling the need for improvement in the work provided by the professionals of these companies.

Participaram 202 MEIs e 12 gestores de empresas do setor industrial, localizados no estado da Bahia. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: Questionário de Caracterização dos MEIs; Instrumento de Medida de Atitude Empreendedora (IMAE); e Questionário de Expectativa e Avaliação da Contratação de MEI. Os principais resultados mostram que a maioria dos MEIs relatou ter se formalizado nos últimos três anos, a partir da descoberta de uma oportunidade de negócio e possuir renda de até quatro salários. Quanto ao IMAE, o fator Prospecção e Inovação apresentou maior frequência de itens crí­ticos; o fator Gestão e Persistência obteve maior frequência de itens favoráveis para as atitudes empreendedoras.
