Resumo: Entrepreneurship in higher education, advocated by capitalist rationality (toyotista / neoliberal) and driven by new digital technologies, has caused the borderline between work and private life to blur, increasing the stress, suffering and illness of the teaching worker. In view of this assertion, the research aims to analyze the mechanisms employed by business rationality, on the rise in the field of higher education, to expand the performance of the teaching worker, in order to subject them to strenuous journeys and intense work rhythms. This is an exploratory study, regarding the objectives, and a bibliographic study, centered on historical-dialectical materialism, regarding the procedures. In this sense, the first section deals with the mechanisms of “capture” and manipulation of the subjectivity of the worker by the model of production management in the Toyotist molds and by the flexibility of labor rights imposed by the neoliberal hegemonic project. In the sequence, we seek to understand the process of expanding “competitive business” rationality and deepening the ideology of entrepreneurship in higher education. For this purpose, the political technologies of privatization (endogenous and exogenous) and changes in teaching working conditions, which, in turn, contribute to the formation of a business subjectivity (productivist and competitive), become objects of analysis. Finally, we analyze the mechanisms for implementing a performative culture, determined by the power of numbers and profitability, whose implications fall on the workday, life projects and the physical and emotional health of higher education teaching workers.

Finally, we analyze the mechanisms for implementing a performative culture, determined by the power of numbers and profitability, whose implications fall on the workday, life projects and the physical and emotional health of higher education teaching workers. Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina2021-12-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmlhttps://periodicos.unoesc.edu.br/roteiro/article/view/2733910.18593/r.v47.27339Roteiro; Vol. 47 (2022): Roteiro; e27339Roteiro; Vol. 47 (2022): Roteiro; e27339Roteiro; Vol. 47 (2022): Roteiro; e27339Roteiro; v. 47 (2022): Roteiro; e27339Roteiro; Vol. 47 (2022): Roteiro; e273392177-60590104-431110.18593/r.v47reponame:Roteiro (Joaçaba.
