The teaching journey in basic education in Pará: Expropriation of time and devaluation of teaching work

Resumo: The article analyzes the working hours of teachers in the state network of basic education in Pará since the 1980s, drawing attention to the growth of working time as a factor in increasing remuneration. It starts with a theoretical discussion about time in the reproduction of work and capital based on historical materialism in order to explain the existing contradictions and mediations between time, work, growth of the journey. It also analyzes the role of the State in the definition of working hours and salaries, as well as the effects on the teacher's life. The text was constructed from the collection of documentary data and the first results obtained revealed a marked increase in the teaching work day.

Se parte de una discusión teórica sobre el tiempo en la reproducción del trabajo y del capital a partir del materialismo histórico para explicar las contradicciones y mediaciones existentes entre tiempo, trabajo, crecimiento del recorrido. También analiza el papel del Estado en la definición de la jornada laboral y los salarios, así como los efectos en la vida del docente. El texto se construyó a partir de la recopilación de datos documentales y los primeros resultados obtenidos revelaron un marcado aumento de la jornada laboral docente.O artigo analisa a jornada de trabalho docente na rede estadual de ensino básico do Pará, desde os anos 1980, chamando a atenção para a ampliação do tempo de trabalho como fator de aumento da remuneração. Parte-se de uma discussão teórica sobre o tempo na reprodução do trabalho e do capital, com base no materialismo histórico, para explicar as contradições e mediações existentes entre tempo, trabalho e crescimento da jornada. É analisado também o papel do Estado na definição da jornada e dos salários, assim como seus efeitos na vida do/a professor/a.
